Strengthens family bonds, improves communication, and reduces conflict for parents/teens.

Stronger 2gether is a six-module counselling program that uses adult learning theory to improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen relationships between parents/carers and teens by addressing common family disconnects and promoting empathy.

Improve Communication: Provide parents and teens tools for effective listening, expressing emotions clearly, understanding and respecting each-others’ unique frame of reference.

Strengthen Family Bonds: Foster mutual respect, empathy, and connection, helping families create a healthier and more supportive home environment.

Reduce Conflict: Help families identify and overcome common communication barriers, such as assumptions, emotional intensity and misunderstandings through use of non-judgemental frameworks that recognise the difference between fact and judgement, intent and impact.

Facilitate the important transition taking place within the family: as teens develop towards increased autonomy as young adults, the programme is designed to enable collaboration rather than conflict thereby enhancing their safety and providing them a stake in how the family functions.

Promote Emotional Regulation: Equip parents and teens with tools to manage stress, anxiety and emotional overwhelm, improving their ability to handle conflict constructively and with empathy for each other.
